TEEN TIPS: character Building

Teenage Tips: Your Personal Bank Account

I read Stephen Covey’s book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People many years ago. I have presented this material to groups of business professionals. His adult version of this chart, the Emotional Bank Account is a great tool in general overall connection and communication. I really appreciate similar work Covey’s son Sean has done to help the teen population.

Keep promises to yourself

Break personal promises

Do small acts of kindness

Keep to yourself

Be gentle with yourself

Beat yourself up

Many thanks to Sean Covey, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
