Socio-Emotional Learning

As children face the demands of the rapidly changing digital classroom in our 21st century society, the need for a sound socio-emotional base in their lives is imperative. Children need to feel safe and be able to have appropriate social interactions throughout their day at school.

One of the many tools I have used in the classroom to successfully fill this need is Education Through Music (ETM). Through song-experience games children learn important skills such as listening, turn taking and developing their own unique voice. Now with over 30 years in ongoing development, ETM helps to foster the growth of the whole child. A closer look at this program can be found at: https://new.richardsinstitute.org.
